Add a Search Form To Your Web
A Search Form allows visitors to search your website
for a string of words.
(You may only use this feature if publishing to a
FrontPage enabled
server.)
To add a search form
- In Page View, place the insertion point on a blank line of text,
or select the text that you want to display in the marquee
- From the Insert menu, select Web
Component...
The Insert Web Component dialogue box is
displayed.
- From the Component type: box, select Web Search
- From the Choose a type of search: box, select
Current Web
- Click Finish
The Search Form Properties dialogue box is
displayed.

- On the Search Form Properties tab, enter the label for
the one-line text box field or accept the default in the Label
for input: field
- In the Width in characters: field, enter the width
in characters of the one-line text box field or accept the default
- In the Label for "Start Search" Button: field,
enter the label for the push button that starts the search or accept
the default
- In the Label for "Reset" Button: field, enter the
label for the push button that clears the form or accept the default
- Click OK
The Search Form
is inserted.
