Customizing Your FrontPage 2000 Installation

When you insert the cd-rom, the installation dialog box should pop up. If it does not start automatically, open my computer, then open the cd-rom. Click on "setup" to start the process. The first step requires you to put in your information. Then click "Next".

The second step is to accept the License Agreement. NOTE - if you do not accept you will not be able to install the software. Then click "Next".

Next you are asked if you want to install everything now or customize you installation. For this course you should click the "Customize" install. Then click "Next".

The next step asks you to confirm where you want Office installed. Use the default location as shown here. Then click "Next".

The next step allows you to select which features you wish to install. You may install any Ofice titles you wish, but for this course you must at least install FrontPage. Click the "down arrow" in the Microsoft FrontPage for Windows item and select "Run all from My Computer" as shown here. Then click "Install Now".

Microsoft Office will start the installation process and you will see the progress bar as illustrated here.

Once the installation has completed you will be asked to reboot your computer. Click yes. You will now be able to run FrontPage 2000.

NOTE: If you are installing FrontPage (or any of the software on the cd) from a cd-rom obtained from your Instructor, do NOT try to register it. This is a special demonstration edition that is fully functional. If you like FrontPage you might wish to consider upgrading to FrontPage 2002 or 2003 (see below).

If you like FrontPage 2000, you may purchase the most recent version (FrontPage 2003) below:
