Its easy to resize your images in Photoshop Elements ...
|
With your image now open in PS Elements, Click "image" then "resize". |
A dialog box will open. The current size is indicated in the
dialog box.
It's usually way too big for practical use. Type in the size you desire in "pixels".
You only need to change either the width or height - the editor will
automatically set the opposite size. Use these guidelines for resizing your image ...
- Use 500 or 600 pixels for a small image suitable for emailing.
- Use 800 pixels for a medium size print.
- Use 1000 pixels for a large print.
|
Once you have typed in your desired size, click "ok".
The newly sized image will then be displayed in your editing screen.
To view it in "real" size, click "view" ... "actual pixels".
You can then "save" your image or "save as" to change the file type (ie:
.jpg, .psd, etc.)
You may also use "save for web" to save an optimized .jpg image. |
